Shirley P. Tumamao
Shirley was born in Pansol, Padre Garcia in Batangas to a family that was headed by a
patriarch who was very much into purebred dogs. Her father was Briccio “Ric” Pasia,
one of the most prominent dog trainers during his time and was acknowledged as one of
the pioneers in the dog training trade in Manila.
Sent to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines for her tertiary education, Shirley
finished her B.S. Management degree and worked for a couple of years for a number
of companies. However, she eventually found herself working for the PCCI as a
clerk-typist in 1988 and at about the same time found her life partner in the person
of Jesus Tumamao who like her father is also a dog trainer.
A typical multi-tasking working woman, Shirley balanced the demands of being a wife, a
mother to three children (two boys and a girl), and growing her career with the PCCI.
