the system that was to be used, he was passed over as the then Consultant who was
overseeing the transition due to the latter having some doubts on his capability. He
was made to stay put at the offi ce instead of attending the training.
This incident, instead of discouraging him, challenged him and he took the initiative to
study the new system on his own time. He even went to prepare some programs that
were framed for PCCI operations. As fate would have it, some issues bugged the new
PCCI system and the Consultant and the newly trained employees were at a loss on
how to go about making the system work. Having heard of the dilemma, he stepped
forward and offered his program which proved to be effective in solving the problem.
From then on, it was like his star began to shine and he never looked back.
Jojo has been serving as the General Manager of the PCCI for the past 11 years. The
often quiet, soft-spoken offi cial face of the PCCI has helped the organization to reach
the enviable status that it now fi nds itself in the world of purebred dog world. By
being the constant, faithful, dedicated and reliable professional that he is, he has been
able to support the PCCI through numerous challenges and achievements. He has
assisted the Board of Directors to guide the organization to become what it is today:
well represented in the FCI, being one of the lead organizations for its Asia, Africa and
Oceania Section, and in ensuring that the needs of the Filipino purebred dog fancier
are being taken cared of.
While he did give up his dream of sailing to different parts of the world, his dream did
