group of professional handlers and

trainers. With the cancellation of dog

shows and restrictions imposed on

travel and movement, handlers and

trainers found themselves out of work.

When the PCCI resumed operations

last June 15, 2020, the volume of

application for registration jumped to

unprecedented levels. The PCCI

board saw an opportunity to assist

some of the cash-strapped trainers

and handlers by offering them the

chance to moonlight as couriers of

the various documents that had to be

sent back to the members.
