“New normal” training had to be done. Session must enforce lesser interaction with the owners since we needed to
distance ourselves from each other. Unfortunately, we’re a bit advanced in technology now. Currently, what I do is to take
videos and photos of the dogs while training them, send these videos to the owners and discuss what needs to be done to
improve the dog’s condition. Further, I have been accepting dogs for boarding wherein the owners let the dogs stay with
me for a while and I get to train them from time to time. This set up has also provided me ample time to bond with the
dogs and get to know them better. I guess I just have to settle
with this kind of set-up for now.
The Coronavirus showed us how dreadful it really is to waste our lives, entangled in never-ending battles for wealth and
status and power. How terrible it really is not to recognize the value in the people around us – not just our family and
friends, not just colleagues and fellow citizens, but also complete strangers. How appalling it is not to give our lives
meaning – every hour of every day – by honoring the sacredness of life and according all living things the respect,
sensitivity and care that they deserve.
The Covid-19 pandemic demonstrated to us the value of freedom – the freedom to move, to be with those we love, to live
in dignity and security – for ourselves and for those around us, from our loved ones to the refugees and the downtrodden.
Waiting for that day when everything will get back to normal. Hopefully soon, fully conscious of all the valuable lessons
that Covid-19 have given us.
