What would be your first advice to prospective Siberian
Husky owners?
My advice to people who want to start with this breed is do some
research, attend dog shows and talk to breeders before deciding
on getting into this breed. Do that and you minimize possibilities
of making mistakes and ending with unwanted dogs. I always say to
A
newbies to not get blinded by the ribbons and winnings. Know the
standard and understand it. Do not breed to please the judges. Trust
your eyes and enjoy living with a beautiful and great companion.

Why did you choose Siberian Huskies as a breed over other purebreds?
I started with Siberian Huskies 1999 purely because of their appearance. Who could resist a dog that looks like a wolf? Yes
I admit that my reason to have this breed was purely wrong and irresponsible but some mistakes pave the way to great
things. This breed’s temperament is very unusual that you have to earn their respect before they consider you as leader of
their pack. You have to constantly work with them to form a bond. With years of hard work, patience and effort I was able
to formulate my ideal siberian husky and it is found in the clause in the breed standard “ a medium size dog that can carry
light load at moderate speed over great distance” With this in mind I made sure that dogs produced in my home can work
all day and with friendly, well socialized temperament worthy of carrying my kennel name Arctic.
