wo Thousand Eighteen (2018) has been a wonderful year for me and my Heaven Sent French Bulldogs having been awarded
the Breeder of the Year. The award has truly brought immense joy, pride and fulfillment to me as a breeder for it is an
T affirmation of the effectiveness and reliability of my breeding program.
French Bulldogs are very affectionate and sweet dogs that truly make very good companions. I started breeding Frenchies 9
years ago with the goal of producing healthy and beautiful companion dogs that will make people happy. I’ve immensely enjoyed this
hobby of mine and winning in shows and getting awards is just a plus in this truly fulfilling endeavor.

Heaven Sent Tidal Wave finished the year as
Number 1 French Bulldog in the Philippines. This
was a very exciting time for us having won an
award that was dominated by imported dogs. I
believe that producing locally bred dogs that can
compete with and win over imports is a goal to
be aspired for. This will ensure the improvement
of the quality of the dogs we produce.
I’d like to thank all the judges who
appreciated my dogs and all the effort, time and
resources we put in to produce them. All these
achievements would have not been possible if
not for the continuing support of my clients and
friends who believed and continue to believe in
the quality of the dogs we produce. I’d also like
to share this award with Dimitry and Chantal
Raamsdonk of De La Parure Kennel, Nikoleta
Todorovic of Energy House Kennel, Elena
Kozhevnikova of Iz Palevyh Buldogov Kennel and
Natali Sukhanova of Peti Llver Kennel, for if not
for their trust and confidence I would not have
been able to produce these wonderful dogs. And
of course to my family and team, and associates
for all their support and assistance, thank you.

Trimestar Chihuahuas
t is with greatest honor and pride that TrimeStar Chihuahuas accepts
the most coveted recognition any breeder in the Philippines can aspire
I to have---- PCCI Breeder of the Year for 2018. It is also our pleasure
to share it with Mr. Harly Kintanar of Heaven Sent Kennel.
The year 2018 served us so well after a long hibernation from the dog
show scene from the year 2014 to 2017. What a wonderful comeback it has
been for us at TrimeStar Chihuahuas!
Born in a family of dog-lovers from Malolos, Bulacan, I grew up basically
with dogs around me. As a kid, I’ve always enjoyed the company of my four-
legged friends. I can vividly recall how I always enjoyed playing with a dog
named “Chu-Chu”, a Shih Tzu dogs bred by a family friend, Prof. Ma. Rocio
De Vega. I’ve also had the privilege of owning Dachshunds during my younger
years.
Though Shih Tzus and Dachshunds are my first breeds of dogs, I’ve
always secretly wanted to have a Chihuahua since the first time I came across
the breed in person in the early ’90s. So when I finished school and already
had stable career, I got myself a Chihuahua. I started with a pet Chihuahua
named Puma. My exposure to the dog show scene began about a decade ago
when I first purchased a show dog named Gloria, and the rest was history.
A decade-long experience in the sports of dog showing was a very
good training ground for us to develop our eyes in appreciating beauty in all
forms. Truly, a trained eye is an ART that is honed by experience, mentorship,
and openness to learning. On the other hand, as a biochemist by qualification
and training, the science of canine breeding came in quite easier for us since
we have an understanding of the fundamentals of Genetics. Breeding a sound
dog that is capable of performing the very purpose of its breed boils down to
understanding the science behind the dog, --- its genetic make-up.
Having been able to produce eight (8) Philippine Champions, three
(3) Philippine Grand Champions and a Philippine Hall of Famer for the
year 2018 makes us a living proof that no matter how minute a needle is,
one will still find it in a haystack if you will invest time, dedication and hard
works. This achievement also serves as a validation of our strong belief that
breeding is not just a passion, but also an ART and SCIENCE combined. One
must not rely purely on theories, nor solely by experience, but must master
the craft of combining both disciplines.
It is important to acknowledge the help and contributions of our dear
friends who were instrumental to our success. On top of our thank you list
is Mr. Neil Escueta who has been very supportive in every endeavor we set
our foot in, Mr. Kevin Martinez, owner of Cookie Monster Kennel whom we
did cooperative breeding with, Dr. Rhionell Sahagun for being a very good
mentor, together with Mr. Marlon Luyahan and Josephine Amado of Royal
Baytown Kennel. Our gratitude also goes out to my chihuahua support group
Arjay Tuazon, Leo Suyat, Aldo Tui, Ernie Garcia, Jasper Gay, and professional
handler Neil Rivera, who’ve been supporting us all throughout during the feat.
