We conducted an interview with Atty. Jose Mari Fabella and these were his insights.
Why did you choose the
Labrador as a breed over
other pure breeds?
ike any other canine breed, the
Labrador was bred for a specific
purpose which was, above all things, to
L be a hunting companion, carrying with
it strong athleticism, a high sense of enthusiasm
yet possessing a perfect temperament with a kind
and unassuming disposition which makes it an ideal
housemate. In short, a Labrador can be perfect
both for indoor and outdoor activities.
Our family has been living with Labradors for more
than 30 years already and we have nothing but good
memories about how our relationship with the
breed went through the years. Labradors are likewise
very good with children as I have seen all my kids

Labrador owners?
PH HOF SPECIAL EDITION CALVIN KLEIN If you wish to have a Labrador retriever, I
suggest that you first study the breed. This
will help you decide whether the Labrador
retriever is fit for your lifestyle and daily
routine. Simply having a Labrador retriever
without first knowing them and their needs
may have negative effects both for the human
and the dog. For example, if the prospective
owner is not into outdoor activities and simply
prefers being a couch potato, then a Labrador
is not the dog for him. A Labrador retriever
requires a certain amount of outdoor activities
for its physical well being. Otherwise, the
Labrador will have health issues such as being
out of shape and perhaps enter into obesity
for lack of sufficient exercise.
